The original code is a fork of LibreX, a framework-less and javascript-free privacy respecting meta search engine, made by [hnhx](https://github.com/hnhx). LibreY changed some features like automatic redirection (now instance fallback), added scrapers for more creative nonsense or any other circumstances is permitted to copy the profiles from ~/.mozilla/firefox to ~/.librewolf, and on first launch change some things like deleting cookies after restart and deleting history after restart, and it just works
